Rajasthan Energy Regulatory Commission (RERC) which is established under The Electricity Act, 2003 has said that net metering facilities for rooftop and small grid-connected solar systems will be valid up to June 30, 2021.
The provision under the Electricity (Rights of Consumer) Rules 2020 has made net metering policy for loads up to 10 kW and gross metering for loads greater than 10 kW.
West Bengal Govt. has also come with the same policy and consumers installing solar rooftop system before 30 June, 2021 will be eligible for the net meter.
